OK, so yes, I have been playing it. In fact, i beat the story mode, and it's a HUGE improvement over the last one. ;D
PROS
*The courses are better designed. They have a much more natural flow to them and no silly sections where you have no direct controle over the characters.
*The story is much better. Less pointless racing and more rampaging robot-ness. Definitely has a more epic feel. (Only the Sonic Heros, Amy, and Team Babylon are in it, though -- despite a reference to GUN) Also, as convoluted as the story gets, it's much better told, with inferred explanations for almost every element.
*No more Air! Yes, you no longer run out of fuel for simply moving. Instead you have Gravity points that let you pull of special moves.
*Gravity is fun to control. Instead of drifting, you do something like a Chaos Control, where you slow time and and redirect your character without losing momentum. It's pretty sweet, and definitely breath taking and fly off the course and slingshot yourself back on.
*Tricks am MUCH simpler to pull off. Landings are automatic. All you need to do is hit the "Jump" button at the right time. The closer to the edge, the better the jump.
*Wii controls have a STEEP learning curve. But, it definitely fun to learn and tilt control fits the theme of hover boarding more then an analogue stick.
Cons
*The graphics, while well stylized, but could be higher rez.
*It's much easier then the last one. That's not a problem for me, because I thought the last one was too hard, but I do know some people felt the opposite was true.

Please tell me there's some sort of psycho difficulty you can activate, a code, anything!?
Hell, I'll buy an action replay and find a code for "Insane Catchup" Anything for an F-Zero GX-like challenge!
Edit: Also, I kinda thought the tricks in the first Riders was too easy, if anything. All I had to do was wiggle the stick down then left then down then left then down then left over and over again, knowing just when to stop.
Then again, I'm more used to the complicated combo strings in Splashdown, where you'll have to memorize a plethora of six button tricks to get anywhere in the game.
'Nother Edit: How's the sense of speed?

Not that I know of. There are challenges and what not, but the difficulty is pretty medium, which I like. BUT, there is a world-wide Ghosting kinda deal, where you can race better racers from leader boards. Thus, you can always challenge better racers that way.
The sense of speed is excellent. Very fast, but not so fast you can't control them.

I like this game, playing it with Quacker a few times. I think the first time I tried to pick up Riders, it was far too difficult for me to control and really get into. These courses have ... hmm... strength-based shortcuts. For instance, if you are a strong-arm kinda character, there's a shortcut for you, a speed character, or a flying character, etc etc. I kinda liked that... though the robots of course knew ALL the shortcuts and made some races really difficult to complete well. Also a good multiplayer game, for those that share their consoles

No! Cream, Amy, Rouge, Shadow aren't new characters! I have unlocked those guys in the normal Sonic Riders, and no, no hack. But you say there knew... -Head 'splodes-

At first, the only ones revealed were Sonic, Tails, Jet, Knuckles, Storm, and Wave. By the time the website was up, all of these were shown with a "question mark." It was by this method that somebody was able to "hack" in to the site and rip the characters. Thus, they were "new" at the time of my post.

Someone help me out here. I just got it a few days ago. (lol. Little late to the party eh?) and I can't do sharp turns anymore. WTF? I can if I jump and hold that but that's KIND of a momentum cut that I DON'T want....

Well, if I remember correctly, you take sharp corners the same way you do that little gravity bending trick. Just warp time and space, point yourself in the direction you want to go, and let 'er rip.
It all should be in the tutorial section of the game, by the way. I always start with those things no matter how big my ego feels at the moment.

I had a small problem with my copy, where it wont work on one system with the GC controller and on mine it wont work with the wiimote, my friend called it a horrible game because of the learning curve, he also said it sucked otherwise and he never wanted to play it again, than he begged me to play some M&Ms game where the controlls killed me, yeah that kinda sux
