((Tell me if this thread belongs in this area or not)) Sonic R was pretty much the first Sonic racing game. It had catchy tunes and colorful tracks, great for young players. It was the Tails Doll's first and last game. Now with Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity as the top Sonic Racing games, I have been thinking: Wouldn't it be nice if they put ol' TD in one of their new racing games? He would be the perfect character! You wouldn't have to spend money on extreme gear because he floats, and he always leaves a turbulence of souls (As someone has said). Wouldn't it be swell to have another game people would be terrified of because it has the Tails Doll in it?

YAYS! Another TailsDollFanatic! Well, should of seen that coming >>; You got that pif from DA, right? But, Tails Doll WOULD kinda suck. He was TERRIBLY slow, even slower than Tails (That lying instructions manuel) And I don't think SEGA would porpously give TD a soul-thingy. They never intended it; but who knows? They DID make Acid Mix.

1. Yes, I do like the Tails Doll.
2. Yes, I got it from DA
3. Sonic R character game play was kind of... off... you could barely turn and went at an odd speed. Also, I guess TD could get a special extreme gear rocket stuck on it's back...
4. I hope they give him the soul-turbulence, so that when someone tries to ride it, the souls suck all of the air out of your extreme gear and make you fall.

Sonic R was pretty much the first Sonic racing game. It had catchy tunes and colorful tracks, great for young players. There is no love for Sonic Drift. :( Hmm... There are quite a few Sonic characters that SEGA has scrapped over the years now. It's difficult to even count them all. Let's see... Mighy Ray Nack/Fang Tiara Bean Bark Honey Tails Doll Metal Knuckles Lumina Void (up to some extant Tikal, Chaos, E-102) Emerl Gemerl/G-mel (or whatever his name is!) and the list goes on! What's the point of making new characters if you're just going to dump them afterwards? It annoying when you see new characters in nearly every single game now. Such potential characters have been left in the trash, now covered in dush and left to waste, only keeping themselves alive from drowning in their own tears (that must have been how Bean felt went he first saw Jet o: ). Every character is made (or at least should be) to have a purpose. I admit that some of then aren't even necessary to begin with: Mighty and Ray; but if SEGA keeps making new ones, why get rid of the old ones? I'd rather not make this longer, but what I'm trying to say is that if a character is made, then it should be used to it's full extent that another character cannot do, (Amy and her hammer) (Blaze's fire) or at least brings something different. (Tails vs. Cream)(Marine) As well as to not write them off as if they never existed. Tails Doll may see far fetched to bring back, but the fan base has given him a unique personality that can be used. Nack the Weasle/Fang the Sniper was the beta version of Rouge when you think about it. Why make Rouge if Nack could have easily take her place? It's these kinds of things that don't make sense when it comes to new characters; no offense to Rouge.

I guess. But one reason for not making them come back, is because there is no logical reason for them anymore! Tails Doll and Metal Knuckles and Fang and all of them have no storyline they would fit. At least team chaotix had SOME poupise in SH. I mean, where would emerle fit anymore? At least if theirs no Sonic Battle Two, oh, Gawd the pain.

Woah! That is a kick ass Tails Doll pic, right there.
There are few character that I really want back. They should serve their purpose in the story, and then bow out quietly. I loved Chaos and Tikal, but they have done their bit. I really think Shadow should have Stayed dead, and thus, lived on as a kick-ass martyr.
That said, there are some characters, who have no role in the "modern" cannon, and I'd like to see them in a more narrative spotlight. Specifically, I'd like to see Fang the Sniper, and Bean the Dynamo.
Fang is a little close to Rouge, as far as the bounty hunter/merc stuff goes, but I see that as a good thing. It would give her a sweet nemesis.
Bean, on the other hand, would be great as a mad bomber. Seriously, they should make a game where Bean sets bombs, and Sonic must race the clock to defuse them.

Really, I find the "OMG TOO MANY CHARACTERS" argument to be pure moot.
YOU HEAR THAT, MOOT MOOT MOOT!
Why? Cause people don't give a crap when every sequel ever made does the same exact thing.
(Also, what do you mean about THAT, TDF? Battle was awesome, shaddup...>.>...)

From wikipedia.org:
Those are pretty much the only times that Tails Doll has appeared in the Sonic series after Sonic R.

I have been looking for issue 21 for a year now >>; To Weirdo: Yes; Sonic Battle was a great game, but I don't think streching it will do good. OMG, TEH BOTTOM SCREEN FOR ALL YOUR EMERL V.2 NEEDS AND TOP SCREEN FOR FIGHT STUFF!

Still, with more then four buttons, I think they could get a pretty fun little fighting engine up...
And hopefully they wouldn't be full of **** when they say "create your own character"

I agree, Battle was a good game. Flawed, but less then most people think. I miss Emeral, though I am glad he's stayed dead. His passing is more poignant that way.
Unless of course,he's Gemeral. In which case, I have no idea what's going on.

Yeah, I think he was rebuilt to be Gemerl.
Quacker, you of all people should know, no one EVER dies in a Sonic game.
Even Maria, I bet she's alive somewhere, probably in the form of the generic badass old chick.

That would sicken me. What a horrible narrative choice that would be!
Unless they gave her a glowing, bionic heart that requires chaos drives to keep going. But they a quickly losing their effect, so Shadow has to hunt down the Chaos Emeralds to keep her alive....

But it ends up that he can keep her alive for over nine thousaaaaaand years if he finds all seven, so there is another emerald quest.

Or what if it was like...EVIL MARIA...and Shadow had to bring himself to kick her ass?
I kinda actually like that idea...>.>.
