Before voting watch this, now this as my friend quotes: Well not quite, shadow would'a slit eggmans throat, but the base remains the same, shadow would have blown everything up, just with more guns and more cussin. Now I must personally say Unleashed will fix sonics reputation, which until now was destroyed by heroes. Oh yeah and shadow wouldn't have become a werehog either he would have become a mix of Mr.T, Chuck Norris, Meta Knight and Jesus, so yeah VOTE AWAY!

Urm, not really. As far as others are concerned, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic and the Black Knight have one key thing in common: Sonic jumping the shark. This is from Halolz.comAnd I have to agree a bit.

<.<...
*Gets out sock...filled with rocks*
Last thing I want to hear is storyline whining. I don't know how many times I've said this, but people play games for GAMEPLAY...the fact that the modern gaming community is so obsessed with something as insignificant as the storyline is downright discusting. I don't mind them saying it adds a slight touch, but the way people say it decides the ENTIRE GAME is just disgusting.
For the love of Christ, people, if you guys want storyline, go read a book or watch a movie. This is a GAME...you play GAMES for GAMEPLAY.
Got it?

My problem is when people want the Sonic to have NO storyline "like in the good old days."
If you don't play games for the story, then skip the cutscenes. However, if you do like the stories for some reason (shakes head shamefully) then go for it.
Reviewers complain about Sonic games having stupid plots. What they miss is that Sonic games and Sonic X do have fan following for those silly, over-baked yarns. I don't like romance novels, but that doesn't mean I want every library gutted.
And to answer the topic creator -- Sonic is better then he has been in the past, but still needs work. I get frustrated with Sonic Unleashed which has some nicely Dark Overtones that make Sonic Cool again without becoming Shadow (like Were-Hog, exorcisms, and Eggman speeding up an inevitable Judgment Day), but then rubs your face in crap like Professor Pickle the sandwich-loving old coot, and millions of silly villages who don't seem to give a crap that the Apocalypse is at hand. Heck, in Sonic Adventure 2, people were in terror over the Moon being nicked, and yet no one really cares that the Earth has been shattered?
