well, I guess i'll tell you (from what I had when they stuck me on the damned medication a month or so ago, the meds made me even worse!!!)
Symptoms Include(stars are the ones that got me diagnosed...): Cough Runny Nose Fever (*) Headache from hell (*) Aches & Pains (*) Tiredness(*) Loss of apitite Sore Throat(*) Anything else flu like
I was only mild, I was back up to strenth in a few days but was kept inside for 5, I had to spray everything I used with Clorox spray afterwords, the worst part was the Headache, it got so bad that I couldn't even open my eyes or move, the medication helped the headache but made the rest of it get blown out of porportion and thus the rest of the week I was sputtering like a old car.
(Also, no I am not still contagious...)

school will most likely start as per normal, maybe not YOURS but that won't effect us all, also the swine flu isn't powerfull enough to kill people as long as they're treated even a Tylenol works, not as well as perscription medicine, but it works for SOME REASON this seems a little Farfetch'd >.> <.< ANYHOW, it'd be the parents fault anyways and I dont imagine a lawsuit could ensue because the parents didn't get their kids tested, when I had it the schools weren't closed down simply because its LESS powerfull then the regular flu if treated, only fatal if you have a disease that hurts the immune system or are a moron and try to tough it out, which, once again would put the parents in blame along with the contracted kid not the school.

Woah, woah, woah. No need to say "God Damb," Greydevils. No one's calling you a liar.
Honestly though, unless you live in Mexico where the government declared a state of emergency, it'll be a tough case to win.
You see, Swine flu was not just an epidemic, but more of a panic than anything else. (By the way, I'm really sorry you caught it, King P). While it's a nasty cold, with proper medical treatment, it's not any more fatal then the normal flu, and School was under no obligation to close. After all, people could catch it in any public setting, so accusing a school of being responsible is a bit of a stretch.
Of course, in America, we are willing to sue of anything, hoping to score big. Most people still think the legal system is some kind of litigious slot machine.

When Swine Flu was going on near my town, we still had school. I wonder why...a lot of the kids didn't have Swine Flu, but one of my good friends, (she went to another school and it ended early) she went to Mexico (that was where Swine Flu started) and she caught it. But it was gone in a few days.
