I personally don't know all that much about swine flu, except that it's very contagious and deadly (I think), but can be treated (from what I've heard).
I'm personally kind of scared, since two schools in my neighborhood were closed today due to confirmed cases of swine flu that some students had at those two schools (Those two schools are easily withing walking distance from my house. In fact, back when I rode the bus, I was dropped off at one of those schools since it's so close to my house).
I heard that those people that were confirmed to have it in my neighborhood are doing well for now though, so I probably won't have too much to worry about. Either way though, it's still a little concerning hearing news helicopters fly overhead every 10 minutes or so, and hearing teachers at the school I go to say that they aren't sure if they should keep teaching as if nothing's going on, or just slow down the pace since there's a high chance our school might be shut down too.

The solution is simple:
SHUT.
DOWN.
EVERYTHING!

Alright, but on a more serious note you gaiz...
*Glares around the board, even to himself.*
...I wouldn't be too worried right now, vaccines are already in the works and while it could be lethal, you'll probably be fine as long as you don't get careless. From what I've heard of the meek death toll, you've got a much higher chance of biting it some other way.

I, personally, am not worried. But then, I hardly ever leave my house. But still, I'm not worried. If I can handle any number of injuries due to epilepsy I'm sure I'll make it through a little flu thing.

Well, just found out something that shuts ze case down.
IIRC, there's only been about 150 or so reported deaths of Swine Flu.
the REGULAR flu takes about 35,000 lives a year.
I think I don't need to do much more then a glance to see how blown out of proportion this is.

Indeed. Those people who died of flu must have had pretty weak immune systems or terrible living conditions. Or quite possibly both.

Where those people that died from the regular flu from underdeveloped countries or not? Those facts may be scued so don't make that out just yet.
Although, it is worthy to note that of the people that died weren't actually infected with the swine flu and only contained traces of it or something, but were basically not sick or infected enough to die from it. Only about 55 or so were killed from the swine flu. Most, actually, the majority of these deaths come from Mexico, a country which doesn't have the best medical means for contaminating it as say the US, so it's still being hyped up than it really is.
The majority of the problem though, is that if you are infected with the Swine flu and don't treat it, then you are putting yourself in a serious health risk, hence the number of deaths this flu has put away with in such a short amount of time.

I've heard of the Swine Flu, and I heard you only get it in Mexico. Is that true?

It's more prominent in or around Mexico, but that doesn't mean it's the only place you can get it, no.

No idea, really, but it's not much of anything to really worry about...simply a mild outbreak blown way out of proportion. As long as you're aware of the signs and get to a doctor instead of waiting and trying to "tough it out" then you should be fine.
