What have you noticed within the newer Sonic games? They made sonic a so-called "Were-Hog"? Tails's voice is getting squiekier? Big the Cat is appearing less and less? The plotlines are getting stupider and stupider? Here's what I noticed... The Sonic games are getting worse! I mean honestly, do you really believe within the deepest of your heart, soul, and overall being that "Sonic Unleashed" was a huge success? We must try to convince SEGA, make the games more like the old ones! Don't screw around with the game as much as, "We'll make him a WERE HOG!". I say that we should all call SEGA's hotline, and try to convince them to make the games like the older ones, not genisis exactly, but, say, make newer characters that are as big as Shadow! Bring back the models from SA2B! I think many of you can agree that SADX and SA2B were the best looking games of the series. And I believe that raps up my speech. Please reply, and please pleed with me! Good day to you. P.S - If you won't listen to me, listen to Billy Mays!

I actually liked the were-hog and sonic unleashed... Tails appears more manly now... But alot of Sonic's games are not as good, but it's only natural... Do you know how many mario games are pieces of crap? There are more than 50 of them, but Mario is still popular... the same goes for any long time video game series, they all have their ups and downs... except touhou, but there's a reason for that...

I like Sonic Rivals and Rivals 2 because:
The plotline was actually believable It was essentially a 3D version of the 2D games It wasn't smothered in terrible new characters

I like Sonic Rivals and Rivals 2 because: The plotline was actually believable It was essentially a 3D version of the 2D games It wasn't smothered in terrible new characters Not to debate your points, but personally I found: 1) The plot line stilted, and the source of much cannon controversy. Eggman Nega is from the future now, and trying to kill Eggman? A magic camera? And as much as I love the character work (and they had plenty of good stuff) the majority of it became pointless fights between characters for no reason. Sonic: I'm trying to fing Eggman.
Knuckles: Eggman! So am I! Grahhhhhhh! Fight! 2) It wasn't REALLY a 3D version of the 2D formula, because it was less about platforming as much as it about memorizing the correct buttons to press when you came up on logs and shortcuts. Also, the boss battles were totally frustrating and poorly designed. I thought Sonic Unleashed's speed segments worked a lot better as far as the 2D/3D hybridization of classic sonic action goes. 3) While they weren't full of new characters, they did force Silver into a story that he doesn't really belong in. I love the guy, but he is meant to be in the future. The story of Sonic 2006, for better or for worse, was about Silver being sent into the past for the first and essentially only time. He's not part of some kind of time-traveling police force. He's just a psychic freedom fighter, and not even a speedy one at that.

Sonic Unleashed was Great! (Unless you count Wii & PS2 versions, Those were Ok, But weren't as good as the 360 & PS3 versions.) The New character in that game I actually liked! (Honestly, Compare Chip to Silver, Princess Elise, And Marine. That's what I thought!) The gameplay was like SA1. (Except Wii & PS2) The Graphics were great! The werehog wasn't really bad, It was just Slow compared to the Daytime parts! Most importantly, Other than the Werehog, IT WAS FAST!

I see your point, and the plot wasn't as good as past games, but it was at least desent compared to some more recent titles. 2. That depends on your point of view, I didn't think they were that bad. 3. Abseloutely, but Silver has at least been some modern games instead of being just another pointless filler character.

I was decent, but I still think some of the recent ones were ok. I actually was fine with Sonic Unleashed - minus the Professor Pickle. God, I hate him. 2. The general design behind the boss battles wasn't really that great, because the biggest danger was your rival killing Eggman before you. Thus you spent far too much time just attacking your rival which you couldn't actually kill. It wasn't nearly as rewarding as the old-fashioned one on one with Robotnik fights. You are totally entitled to like them (God knows, I love the Shadow fight in Sonic Adventure 2, which is also a poorly designed fight), but it could have been a much better boss battle system. 3) I dunno. What character is more worthless than Silver right now? He's story is done, and he's STILL hanging around in the past. Chip was obnoxious, but at least he was integral to the plot of his game. Same with Calaburn, Shahra, and Blaze. Sadly the same can be said of my buddy Shadow, who as much as I love him, should have stayed dead with Maria. Meh. Just my personal views. The Rivals series is far from terrible. I'd say it definitely outranks Sonic Chronicles' plot full of sound and furries, signifying nothing.

I wish we had our old, nice characters appear more....they typically made Sonic 4 suck because they took out all the other characters

I played and own Unleashed and must say, plot wise and graphib wise, better than Shadow. However, Shadow is still my fave of them all. That is, until TD comes back somehow...
