Try clinique toner and Hydrogen peroxide. I'm serious, it works!
Toner gets rid of oils on your face, and then peroxide dries out the acne. The next day, you'll have less acne! Doing this everyday means a clear face. Proactive and other acne solutions are lies... xD

Wash your face a lot with soap and water. You'd be surprized how a lot of it is caused by mere dirt.

Pretty much what TDF said. Actually, NO!! Do not do this! Soap is very oily and can actually make your acne worse. Acne is actually a medical condition that must be treated with specific medication. What would work for one person might not work for another. Also, specific doses are issued as well. I don't know about any of you guys, but I had to deal with acne ever since I hit puberty; and in fact, still have it to this day. Even though I washed my face everyday, I still had it. In my case it was a genetic condition. While my dad didn't have any, my mom did and had the same problem when she was younger as well. For some people, going the the doctor is actually a great idea to help with some treatment. I went to see a Dermatologist to see what she could do to help. I believe I tried three different products before we found the right one. It's been a difficult process, but after eight years I finally have a clean face after using the product for only less than a month! Although, if I ever stop using the product the acne will come back. At least it's better than still having it. Now, some tips to a cleaner face! - Wash your face daily, twice a day.
- DON'T use oil-based products. Make sure you buy non-oil based.
- Make sure they are specific face cleansers.
- If you're going to exercise, make sure you get a sweat headband. Sweat is oily and can make acne worse.
- Certain foods can cause more acne to appear. If you notice that eating something makes you break out, stop eating it.
Hope this helps any others that struggle with the same problem I had.
